Leslie Center for Peace and Justice: Leadership Across Boundaries (LAB): Welcome
THE LAB (Leadership Across Boundaries) Program at OWU is a distinctive new student learning experience that directly impacts the dilemma of every student who faces the complexity of a global society with only a limited, even parochial, perspective. The goal of LAB is to permeate the student learning experience at Ohio Wesleyan—in the classroom, on the campus, and in the greater local, national, and global community—with an array of opportunities for multicultural competency education so that, no matter what those students choose to do later in life, they will possess the awareness, knowledge, skill, and commitment to serve as multi-culturally competent leaders in their families, in their careers, and in their communities.
Sound like a big plan…well, it is. It’s a big idea that’s still in its formational stages, but it is forming. Check back to this page for updates as the program gets going. If you’re particularly interested or would just like more information, contact Sally Leber (Director of LAB), Terree Stevenson (Director of Multicultural Student Affairs), or Darrell Albon (Director of International Student Services).
